Low carbon technologies
Always striving to find new, highly efficient ways of heating a home, we have produced a range of low carbon solutions including solar, air source heat pumps and ground source heat pumps.
These technologies utilise energy from natural sources to provide efficient heat and hot water.
A number of BDR Thermea's low carbon technologies are MCS certified, meaning that they comply with the requirements set out by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme. For more information on which BDR Thermea products are MCS certified, view the press release, or go to our MCS page.
Baxi Solarflo™ options include in and on-roof solar collectors, flat plate panels and evacuated tubes. All are Solar Key Mark approved and are backed by full installer training.
Baxi Biomass provides carbon neutral heating and hot water, through the burning of wood pellets or logs. Ideal for rural applications, Biomass provides considerable energy saving compared with coal, electric, oil and LPG.
Absorbing energy from underneath the Earth's surface, Baxi Geoflo™ ground source heat pumps provide efficient heat for the home, ideally suited to domestic underfloor systems. Geoflo gives out four times the energy it uses - offering substantial carbon and economic savings.
Baxi Ambiflo™ air source heat pumps are self contained, one-piece heat pumps that draw heat from the air outside to produce effective space heating. Equally suited to new build properties and retrofit installations, Ambiflo is ideal for underfloor heating.
